The surgery is open for appointments from the following times:
Monday 8:00 - 18:30
Tuesday 8:00 - 20:00
Wednesday 8:00 - 20:00
Thursday 8:00 - 18:30
Friday 8:00 - 18:30
Surgery sessions will operate at various times across these opening hours. Urgent requests may still be referred to the out-of-hours service if they fall outside of our core hours (8.30am to 6.30pm) and at weekends.
Although the building will be open at these times, the telephones will be deferred to the out-of-hours service from 13:00 - 14:00 and after 18:30 everyday. The surgery will be closed from 13:30 - 15:00 on the last Thursday of every month for staff training.
Out of Hours Emergencies
Daytime visits are dealt with by our GPs on a rota basis. During the night, at weekends, public holidays and if we are closed for staff training, a deputising service will be provided. Callers will need to contact NHS 111 (by dialling 111 or 0208 401 3467). You will be asked for details of the problem and will either be given advice or directed to, the most appropriate clinical service. NHS Croydon is responsible for Commissioning the out-of-hours GP service which is currently provided by Virgin Care and is based at our out-of-hours facility at Croydon University Hospital.
NB: all telephone conversations with Virgin Care are recorded for legal purposes.
There is access to a wide range of urgent care services including booked appointments with a GP available from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week across three new GP Hubs.
The new services have been developed in response to local residents who called for extended opening hours and improved urgent care access to GPs. For more info on Croydon GP Hubs: http://www.croydongphub.co.uk/

Absolute Emergency & Major Injury
In case of absolute emergency/major injury go straight to your nearest Accident and Emergency department. If an ambulance is needed dial 999.
The nearest A&E is at Croydon University Hospital, London Road, Thornton Heath. Telephone 020 8401 3000.
You can attend a casualty department within 24 hours of an Accident or injury without informing your doctor and without a referral letter from your GP.
NHS Croydon provides a minor injuries service at Parkway Health Centre, New Addington for emergencies between 2.00 and 10.00pm Monday to Friday, and 12 noon to 10.00pm Saturday and Sunday. The unit is staffed by experienced emergency nurse practitioners who have spent several years in Accident and Emergency and have undertaken specific training.
The nurse practitioners will treat adults and children with the following conditions: minor cuts and grazes, minor burns and scalds, stings, sprains and strains. They can also clean and dress wounds, insert and remove sutures, remove foreign bodies from eyes and dispense specified medication including tetanus. At the Parkway you will not have to queue behind seriously ill or injured patients, so you may be treated more quickly than if you were to attend Accident and Emergency.
Health & Safety
Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the building is safe for our patients and staff alike, we would request that parents do not leave children unattended whilst in the building.
